At present, the whole house wifi coverage scheme mainly includes the below three schemes:
Router cascade, MODEM, Child-mother routing.
The router cascade scheme is to set up the main router at the optical cat, and each room is set up from the router, the main and slave routers are connected with 6 types of lines. Limited by the number of main router LAN ports, the number of slave routers does not exceed 4, and when the switch needs to be added at the main router. Due to the wired connection, it can guarantee the gigabit connection between the main and the routes; the disadvantage is that 6 lines need to be placed in the house, which has some difficulty and may affect the appearance.
Modem are including wired modem and wireless modem. Wired modem are connected to the router's LAN port; wireless modem is a wireless router plugged into any power outlet in any part of the house (preferably a wall socket), and a wired modem can be paired with multiple wireless modem. The signal between the wired modem and the radio modem is transmitted through the power line, and the network speed is greatly affected by the quality of the user's household power line wiring, and the terminal is often easy to drop off in each AP building and roaming.
The child mother routing scheme includes one mother router and multiple sub-routers, which can conduct Mesh networking through WiFi. Because it is difficult for the WiFi signals between the routers not to go through the wall, so the bandwidth capability of this scheme is greatly affected by the environment. There is a sub-and mother routing product, which uses both WiFi and power line for transmission, which improves the wall penetration ability of WiFi to a certain extent, but the overall bandwidth capability gap is still obvious compared with the router cascade scheme.
Compared to the above traditions scheme, the FTTR has its obvious advantages as Fttr use the Plastic Optic Fiber, what's the advantages, follow me, i will let you know at next chapter.
